I am but a Shell

Inside each one of us, there is a pearl, unique and shinning. I am but a shell, keeping inside of me a hidden, closed off world, a treasure of light. A pearl just a few will discover, only the patient ones, the ones feeding the tide which will force open the shell, the ones who know how to appreciate the light brightness escaping through the half-open gap, without demanding too much. Because the full glow will either blind them, or escape them, in a single little movement, like a fleeting light.

Big Hero 6

An animation movie usually tends to be a good time for all those involved, whether it’s just to  relax a little or to enjoy some family time. I saw this particular film, Big Hero 6, just last Christmas and I must say, it was delightful. At first, I though it was some sort of robotics movie , which, in my mind, meant a silly little thing full of machines and unrealistic projects and gadgets, focused on making kids dream, but usually falling short of said goal and leaving them dumbed down or with highly unrealistic expectations. Fortunately, I was wrong… oh so wrong. I was left pleasantly surprised! It’s a beautiful story, sweet and full of fraternal love, friendship and sacrifices for the good of those we love.  It’s quite sad too, in a way, which can be refreshing. It doesn’t portray a world where nothing bad could or would ever happen. Instead, it shows children that bad things can indeed happen and you can overcome said obstacles and strive to make you...
