  I have a confession :  Crew Girl  probably isn't  for me. From the very beginning, it has that unmistakable Gen Z teen-show vibe. A girl is forced to move to a small town, hates it, and then, naturally, meets a boy. Add some romance, complicated parents, friendships, and a few emotional secrets, and you have a formula we've seen many times before.  It reminded me of The Summer I Turned Pretty in a way I can't quite explain. Maybe it is Teagan (Miku Martineau) herself, who has something of Belly's closed-off, slightly awkward personality. At first, I found it a little boring. I'm not Gen Z, and I suspect some of the things that make this show immediately appealing to its target audience simply don't work on me in the same way. And Teagan isn't exactly the greatest actress either. But eventually,  something about  Crew Girl   gradually won me over. It is warm, funny, and sweet, even when it is also decidedly silly.   I got convinced by a friend to check out this show. I wasn’t sure because it was about sports, which isn’t exactly my thing, but she insisted, and I’m glad she did. I love this show. Ted Lasso is about an American football coach hired to coach a football club in Europe (yes, if you are American, it is soccer). He knows nothing about the game, but Ted is as sweet as fearless! Who’s Ted? At first sight, he looks like an idiot. He has no idea what he is doing, and all the other characters see him as dumb. He is not. He is, perhaps, a bit naive, but he is such a good person that most of us could feel embarrassed about our actions.  Yet, he is more than a good person. He’s there to work hard, help others do things, be better, and make all the people better.  At first, he has everyone against him - the players, the CEO… the things a frustrated, pissed-off woman can do, right? So everything is against him, but he is resilient, very focused, and will change everything around t...

  We already know that this kind of documentary has a single reason to exist: to humanize its protagonist and clean their image when they have too many haters. Neymar: the perfect chaos wasn't any different.  Who is Neymar? Neymar was the protagonist, yet we don't get to know him very well. As a result, we have a deeper insight into his brand instead of him as a person. He didn't show who he was at all. Different people talked about him, especially his father (what a surprise) and the humble person they all claim him to be… well, it didn't show up in his body language. There could be many reasons for that to happen. Was he nervous talking to the camera? Is he shy? Very shy people tend to be seen as arrogant and distant. Was that the reason? We can't know. All we know for sure is that the Neymar we know is a company, the person behind that is well hidden. So, the documentary's main goal failed - you will probably not like him more because you watched this show. ...
