What could be better for start drawing again than a photo of my favorite model?

Review: Unorthodox - a story of liberation

Unorthodox is a story of liberation and freedom. Esty is a young Hasidic Jewish woman raised in a very conservative community in Brooklyn. Unhappy with her fate, she decides to flee from her community and arranged marriage towards a different life across the ocean.  Cultural Shock The show represents a massive cultural shock for all of us that were born and raised in modern western society. Even if you are incredibly open-minded, I assure you that some things may disturb you. Through this show, we have access to a few practices and cultural beliefs, unfortunately, not always explained. I would love to know more. The language they speak in the community is very curious and sounds a bit like German. Many practices are strange for us and even difficult to follow sometimes. For example, in the first episode. Why can't they leave? I had to do a bit of research to understand what was going on.   The Husband The men have the power, and a woman is a breedi

Hollywood - A few real characters, a better than the real story

The show starts in a light, funny mode. An aspirant of an actor, to whom everything seems to happen. Everything bad.  It's difficult to understand exactly what this show is really about. What's the main message? It has more than one, I assume. How far would you go? From the beginning, the idea you get is that people would do anything to get what they want. The ends justify the means. Their lives are full of schemes and plots. More complex plots than the ones in the movies they are trying to act.  The show tends to represent the more decadent side of Hollywood's history with a touch of humor.  Racism It is a fact that racism is real in the film industry, but in the golden age, people didn't even try to be "subtle". The protagonists must be white, and a black writer was impossible to imagine. Is wasn't accepted. By anyone. The approach was interesting. The movie doesn't seem to have the intention of demonizing the stu

Tiger King Review - Pure Madness

You start the show with an "Awwww, these animals are so cute!" and later, you realize how bad all this is, and end up with tears in your eyes. Full of surprises, Tiger King is about a bizarre yet, charismatic man that keeps a private zoo full of big cats. An eccentric? Maybe, but there is more. And it's not pretty. They start the show by demonstrating his charisma and power. They introduce him as he would want, and then, they dig under the surface. Joe Exotic has a lot to tell.   Absolute madness The first episode seems like a guide book about the world of private zoos and Joe. It introduces us to his paranoid personality and his open war with Carole Baskin. This woman seems to have two missions in life: protect wild cats, and destroy Joe Exotic. I loathed her. The way she laughs in the most inappropriate situations disturbs me. For example, when she is asked about her husband's disappearance. It is disgusting. What the hell is she thin

Review: Freud - From the weird to absurd in 8 episodes

Freud is a bizarre Austrian-German show about the beginning of Sigmund Freud's career. It puts a young Sigmund Freud in the middle of the social-political conspiracy. Were you expecting a biography? Sorry to disappoint you. The main idea is, no doubt, weird. I'm not exactly sure about what I saw there. Only in the last couple of episodes, you can make some sense of a few things. FEW. Entrance I could not ignore the entrance of the show as it is one of the best things about it. It is very curious. If you pay attention, Freud's bust changes at each episode. Each change represents the different topics or issues approached — the integration and disintegration of the self, so crucial in Freud's theory.   Mysticism Everything seems fine until the story begins. It is not about psychology - not as we understand it - but rather about mysticism. It is focused on local folklore, mystical stories, and supernatural beings.  The main plot is around t
