Jurassic World - Fond Memories Made New

First of all, I must put this out there: I’m probably not that impartial towards this movie. Second: I loved it. It’s not perfect, but I do kind of love it regardless.

Childhood Memories

I remember Jurassic Park, I watched it when I was a kid, my first time in a movie theater with my cousins on what was a really nice day, one that stuck with some of my fondest memories. That’s maybe one of the reasons I like it so much…

Watching this one, now as an adult, with my husband, was a strange way to recall that day, and it was pretty good.

Not Perfect, Still Amazing

With Chris Pratt and Bryce Dallas Howard (Rocketman) as protagonists, this movie will make you laugh, jump, and roll your eyes at different points.

It’s not exactly mysterious, you know from the very beginning that, eventually, all hell will break loose, and at some points, you can even imagine how or why. But surprisingly, this didn’t seem to take the interest out of the story.

What if...?

These movies, with so much need for CGI, and such impossibilities, can always leave you thinking “would this somehow be possible?”, yet, in this case, I doubt you’d be bored by it.

You’ll feel a bit of adrenaline running through your body and be totally focused on the beautiful and action-packed imagery on the screen.

Funny fact: by the end of the movie, the only thing I kept thinking was how flabbergasted I was, asking myself, “How the hell can she run the whole movie in those shoes?!”

The Lying Life of Adults shows us, once more, that the teenage years and growing up can be painful. Giovanna is the main character of this story, and she is feeling all the fast changes adolescence demands in a deeply divided town. Before this situation, her body and her opinions and desires are changing fast. Perhaps, too fast. Parents aren’t perfect. It is usually in those teenage years that we realize our parents aren’t perfect. They are humans with all the flaws that that implies. Giovanna is no different.
