Fervilhar de Vida

As mãos suadas passeiam-se pelos veios corridos e escuros da madeira envernizada. A sua mente imagina todo um mundo sobre o tampo do seu suplício, onde mil pequenos homens se movem freneticamente, fervilhando de vida.

Um olhar ao relógio diz-lhe que ainda faltam várias horas para a sua vida começar. Por enquanto, só a espera no purgatório, o som desagradável dos teclados, os dedos que neles batem, tentam fazer algo.

Fitou o seu. Porque não conseguia fazer o mesmo? Porque sentia esta ânsia, este tormento dentro de si? Voltou a olhar os homenzinhos na mesa. Também eles lutavam para sobreviever às câmaras de gás que a civilização usava para matar os sonhos.

Virou-se de costas para o tampo agitado. Lá fora, o sol brilhava.

- Já terminaste?

A voz dele tornava-se mais insuportável a cada dia que passava. Calmamente, rodou a cadeira para ficar de frente para o chefe. Retirou a arma da gaveta e sem dizer uma palavra, disparou. O homem caiu no chão, formando um poça de sangue. Gritos e correrias, ambulâncias a chegar.

- Então? Já está?

Olhou novamente o chefe, sobressaltado.

- Não.

- Então despacha-te.

O homem saiu e ele voltou a focar-se no tampo da mesa. Também os homenzinhos tinham desaparecido. Tornou ao computador.

As a fan of the original Game of Thrones , I approached the second season of House of the Dragon with high hopes. Unfortunately, I found it a bit boring compared to its predecessor.
